The Gwinnett Church of Christ is a community of seekers who have found a place to belong. We are not perfect and strive to be non-judgmental, because we know "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). We are parents and grandparents, children and grandchildren, married, divorced and single. We are diverse in every sense of the word and welcome people of all ethnicities and social backgrounds. Together, we are pilgrims on a journey with God and toward our eternal home with Him.

We invite you to come and be a part of our church family as we seek to be lights in a dark world.

Worthy To The Call

Current Sermon Series

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing forbearance to one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.
- The Apostle Paul

The Everlast Project

Imagine a dot and line extending from the center of that dot, stretching far into the horizon and out of sight. Our lives on earth are like that dot: temporal and confined to a limited time, a limited space. But the ray of our soul will go on forever, connected to that brief time in the flesh by our beliefs, our deeds, our relationships. How are you connecting with eternity?

Connection Groups

Connection Groups (formerly called Small Groups) are all about building up the body at GCC. The intimate fellowships of believers provide a unique opportunity to grow relationships, support our brothers and sisters, and stimulate one another to love and good works. The format and topics are designed to encourage practical application of God's word.

Connection Groups are made up of 8-14 people who have something in common. It may be age, children, marital status, neighborhood, etc. Or it may simply be a common desire for a closer daily walk with God and a commitment to helping each other.

Format

A typical Connection Group session includes exploring a Bible passage, discussing the application, sharing personal experiences, and praying together. Members find it easy to engage in Connection Group fellowship regardless of Bible knowledge or background. Most groups meet for one hour or less and share refreshments afterward.

Schedule

Each group determines a meeting day, time, and location that suits the needs of its members. Most groups meet on Sunday evenings in a class room at GCC or at a member's home.

Choosing a Group

There are several connection groups meeting weekly, with more being added as the church family grows. Connection groups are formed each year around the beginning of September and meet together through the month of May. All groups are open to new members throughout the year. Please call the church office for more information.
